Searching for a tutor?

If your are looking for a tutor, there’s an app for that. And the app is called Tutor App. Parents or students of all ages can create a profile and browse tutors to work with online or in person.

Whether there’s an elementary student struggling with reading comprehension, a high school student cramming for the SAT, or a college student of Newtonian Mechanics, Tutor App showcases verified educators who work with students to help them achieve their goals.

Students and teachers alike can apply to join Tutor App as tutors to make extra cash and share their smarts with both local and online communities. Once accepted (about 2% of applicants make the cut), tutors set their hourly rates and their daily availability to work with students. Then the ball is in the student’s court to take initiative and contact a tutor for help.

Tutor App offers the same speed for access to tutors. Students can see when tutors are online and message with them in real time to coordinate a meeting.

Founders Eliza Morrison and Andrew Nimmich have a history in education. They started Tutor the People in 2012, before they decided to streamline tutoring and create a platform where students can find tutors instantly.

“Our clients were so happy with Tutor the People’s personalized approach to learning. We wanted to use a similar idea and apply it to an instantaneous, Uber model. So we started Tutor App” both founders say.
