The Pokémon GO Plus device launches on September 16, 2016, giving Pokémon GO fans a new way to catch Pokémon and collect items. The Pokémon GO Plus is a small device that lets you enjoy Pokémon GO while you’re on the move and not looking at your smartphone.
As you pass by a PokéStop, the Pokémon GO Plus device will light up and vibrate to alert you to the location. You’ll be able to collect new items with a push of a button! If there’s a Pokémon hiding nearby, lights and vibrations will alert you of the chance to catch it. Push the button on the Pokémon GO Plus to try to catch it, and then continue on your way.
Pokémon is managed by The Pokémon Company, a Japanese cooperation between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The Pokémon franchise began as a pair of video games for the original Game Boy by Nintendo in 1989.
Pokémon is the second-most successful video game-based media franchise in the world, behind only Nintendo’s Mario franchise.
